Description

A gold color and epoxied shield shaped device 1 inches (3.18 cm) in height, blazoned as follows: Per pale Vert and Azure, a roundel counterchanged, gridlined and edged Or, in base a laurel wreath of the last, overall a sword in pale, blade Argent, point upwards, hilt Or; the shield is centered upon a torch enflamed gold. Attached to the sides and below the shield and the base of the torch, a Blue tripartite scroll bearing the inscription TRAIN THE WORLD in Gold.


Symbolism

The enflamed torch denotes light, liberty, and fidelity. The shield is symbolic of confidence and boldness. The colors green and blue are traditionally associated with Security Assistance. Green is specifically derived from the Special Warfare Center. The globe denotes the global mission and is gridlined gold for excellence. The sword is emblematic of defense and capabilities mastered through support and training with partnered nations. The laurel wreath is a symbol of peace and represents Security Cooperation and Security Assistance conducted during peacetime.
